Standard Style 6ft Side Gates
Built from green or brown tanalised treated timber (Tanalith) which means it will never require any further treating as its pressure impregnated for life and will last around 25-40 years (depending on environment and usage)
All our gates arrive unmade and are built from scratch at your premises, cut to size and hand nailed using 2” galvanised treated nails.
Our frames are usually 100 x 50mm C16 grade timber and once cut to size is then bolted to walls or posts with sleeve anchor fixings for maximum strength.
We also normally fit a top rail frame bar which keeps the frame from moving and stops the gate ever jamming.
How Much do the Gates Cost?
A typical cost for a made to measure)side gate and frame 6ft High fitted is Circa £330 bit may vary either way based on the complexity of the individual job. Extra wide gates over 33” are extra costs usually.
Security Bolts
2 lockable barrel bolts are fitted to all gates which are very strong and secure and are each capable of having padlocks.
We also offer a Suffolk latch fixing for those who require more regular access, these are an extra cost of around £33 fitted.
All our fixings are anti oil/rust galvanised treated and will serve for many years.
Any posts we need to sink into the ground are always set in concrete.
Payment
Once you are happy with what we are to do and the price we ask for a £35 booking in fee by cash or transfer and then there’s nothing else to pay until the work is completed.
Payment balances are upon completion again cash or transfer is acceptable.

Our hand made gates are 6ft tall as standard and have a flat top, most are straight (flat top) but can be made arched.
The single gates although normally are between 26” and 33” can be made narrower and also wider (up to 40”) anything wider than this usually requires a pair of gates to be made.
All our gates made and fitted at your home carry a 5 year warranty against workmanship, failure and rot. Most gates and frames can be made and fitted within 2 hours usually.
